What’s the difference between People and Vendors?

Sedo gives you a few options to track where your items are going and who is associated with them. One of those options is people, and another is vendors.

What is a vendor?

Let’s start with the simplest category first. Vendors are companies or service providers. For example: your local junk removal service, or a nearby furniture donation center.

Both of these options are vendors.

What are People in Sedo?

In Sedo, People can work in two ways.

First, people can be attached to items to show history. Maybe you want to tag a series of items as belonging to a great grandfather that isn’t around anymore. If you add a person record for him, then you can sort to see any items, in any location, that are related to that person.

Second, people can act on items. Maybe those items from your great grandfather are going to be picked up by your cousin. If you add her as a person, you can note that those items will be picked up by her.
